Jeanne is originally from Malaysia, and moved to New Zealand in
2015. She is a Registered Nutritionist and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in
Advanced Nutrition Practice from the University of Otago.
Jeanne has a special interest in supporting individuals and
families to build a healthy relationship with food and create sustainable
lifestyle changes that are meaningful to them.
She believes small, consistent steps can lead to long-term health
benefits and help prevent issues before they arise.
In her work, Jeanne enjoys using technology and creativity to
tailor health goals to each person’s needs, ensuring care is personalised and
achievable.
Outside of work, she enjoys baking sourdough bread and spending
time in her flower garden.
What is a Health Coach?
A health coach works in a similar way to a sports coach, a health coach is there to help inspire confidence in you, to motivate you to achieve goals and to share knowledge in obtaining those goals.
Doctors and nurses are there when you need acute medical care. A
health coach provides ongoing support - helping you understand your situation,
set realistic plans and manage your health day to day.
A Health Coach can help with:
Healthy Lifestyle changes, including nutrition, activity and sleep
Managing stress and supporting positive behaviour change
Living well with diabetes, high cholesterol or hypertension
Goal setting and action planning
Building social connections and community links
Family / Whanau support
Social connection
